$10 Million Train Wreck
Will someone call me & let me know when the Red Sox pull Dice K out of the game. I can’t watch this 10 Million $ trainwreck anymore. I said from the day 1 signing him was a huge mistake.
And I’m sick of people saying it’s only June & these games don’t matter like the one in October. Guess what a couple of losses in June can be enough to keep us out of the playoffs come October.
What a week! RemDawg, Steroids, Throwing at batters heads
What a week! Sometimes I cry when we lose a game but all of a sudden losing last niight doesn’t seem quite as important as some of the other things going on.
I’m so sad to hear Jerry Remy had cancer and has been sick. I hope he gets well. I met him last year at a Kid Nation Captain board meeting & he was awesome. When i can’t go to Fenway for a game I always watch Remy on NESN.
I’m still really angry at Joba Chamberlain for throwing at the heads of our players. I think he does it on purpose. This has been going on since 2007. First Youk & now Bay. I don’t understand why he is allowed to get away with all that stuff. I hope he gets suspended before someone really gets hurt. I don’t want to see anyone get beaned like Tony C. did.
Now Manny doing steroids. Geesh. I almost got sick when I heard this. I don’t know why anyone drinks alcohol or does drugs. Last week I wrote an essay for iwontcheat.com about what I would say to my favorite baseball player if he was caught cheating or using steroids.
So now this is what I would say to Manny.
When Mannny refused to play last year & we lost games because of his attitude I forgave him. I even cried the 1st time I saw him in a Dodgers uniform even though I thought he was a traitor for not playing his best when he was a Red Sox. . He’s supposed to be an example to kids everywhere and now I think he’s a bigger loser than I did after he threw a game for the Yankees last season. Now everybody is going to criticize the Red Sox and think our team are cheaters because of Manny. I even heard someone say today we didn’t deserve to win the WS in 2004 because Manny was probably on drugs then. He hurt kids, all baseball fans, all baseball players, his teammates on the Dodgers & the Red Sox because of what he did. He is a cheater. I would rather see a player strike out & play fair than get a home run by using steroids. Manny- you need to grow up, respect yourself, play fair & stop being a jerk!.
I Won Youk’s Kids Essay Contest
OMG! I am so excited. When we got home today I had a phone message from NE Book Fair. I won Youk’s Kids Essay Contest for April & I get an autographed Kevin Youkilis baseball & I get a chance to win lunch with Kevin Youkilis after baseball season is over. I wrote about being a Kid Nation Captain & helping other kids & blogging about the Red Sox. Now if we can just sweep the Ya—– I can’t even type the name of that other team. YUCK!
Saturday Nite Sox Game Was Awesome & Papelbon likes lobster chowder
We went to the Saturday night Red Sox- Orioles game & it was awesome. It was the first game I’ve been to since I went to Fort Myers for Spring training. Oil Can Boyd was there and he autographed my baseball. Before the game we wnet to Longhorn Steakhouse & it’s right across from Papelbon’s apt. The manager told me i was sitting in papelbon’s favorite booth & I was so excited. He told me Papelbon likes to order lobster chowder and chicken fingers when he eats there. Our seats were right behind home plate & were awesome!

RIP Nick Adenhart
I only got to watch a little of the game last night because it was so late here in MA. But I was impressed with how the Angels played and their tribute to Adenhart. I thought the Angels players were amazing being able to go out and play the way they did. This is so sad and I’m so sorry Adenhart died because someone else was being stupid. I’m only 11 but I know how dangerous drinking and driving is and how innocent people can get hurt. I’m sorry for what happened. I’m thinking of his family, friends, team mates and fans. Now I know there are “Angels In The Outfield.”
Tix on sale today, Tek, Scouting, Hot Stove, Trezza, Papelbon & other Thoughts
I know I haven’t update this much but I have a broken arm, we moved & I have been redoing my room Red Sox. Then there’s always homework & that takes forever. Anyway for Christmas & my birthday my whole room was redone Red Sox & I got an autographed Jonathan papelbon ball & a pair of Red Sox tickets for Christmas. I told Grandma to go online today & buy more tickets but she said that’s noy gonna happen.
In Nov. I got a letter from YAZ on a HOF card with his autograph thanksing me for the get well card I made and sent to him in the hospital. Isn’t that cool? I can’t believe he wrote to me.
A couple of months ago I opened a fb account & that’s pretty cool. Some of the Red Sox trivia questions I submitted were published.
Anyway… I wrote to Tito over the winter but he didn’t write back so I hope he reads this and if anyone knows address for Red Sox scouts please forard this to them for me. Do whatever you have to do to sign Tek & PLEASE while you’re at it get Alex Trezza. Tek is great but he’s getting older & Trezza is ready to step up. GIVE HIM A SHOT! He’s got the agility, ability to lead, great batting average & is a team player. Last year he set CanAm League records If you don’t know Trezza check out his stats. Trezza had a very productive season for Worcester last year at the plate and as catcher. He ripped a three-run home run in his first at-bat in a Tornadoes uniform, was one of four Worcester hitters with at least 10 Home Runs and 50 RBIs Trezza also homered in both ends of a doubleheader vs. New Jersey on 6/24 and finished up the season strong by knocking in 28 runs in his final 32 games. Trezza threw out 32.2% of attempted basestealers, including 20 of the last 43 men (46.5%) that tried to swipe a base against him. A team leader and a gamer, Trezza was the only Tornadoes player to appear in all 94 games in 2008. That set a new Worcester record for games played in a season and tied a Can-Am League record as well. THE RED SOX NEED TREZZA!
Sell Out Record at Fenway & other thoughts
I sure wish I was gonna be at the game tonight. But I will be watching on TV. We have been to 11 games this year. And we have tickets for the game Friday night! YEAH! I think it’s awesome we set a sell out record but it’s kind of bad too for us fans that can’t go to all the games because we can’t get tickets & they cost so much. I was talking to people I know that used to go to Fenway 40 or 50 years ago. They told me lots of cool stories like you could go the day of the game and buy a ticket cheap because not many people went to the games. And you could hang out by the field and get autographs and stuff like that. Sometimes I wish it was still like that because It reminds me of how the North Shore Spirit games were. I went to almost every North Shore Spirit game for 5 years. I really miss the Spirit.
The players, people who worked there and other fans all knew my name. We could hang out by the field and get autographs when the guys were on the field and after the game. The players and managers were always so nice to us kids and treated us like we were important. We laughed, cheered and even cried together. It was like a big family. We were family because we all loved the North Shore Spirit. Sometimes when there wasn’t a Spirit game the Fraser Faithful would get together to watch Red Sox games. I miss the North Shore Spirit especially my favorite catcher Alex Trezza and still cry sometimes because the team is never coming back. Their last game was in 2007.
But I’ve been a Red Sox fan since I can remember and I’m glad I have the Red Sox and Red Sox Nation. I’m glad I am a Kid Nation Captain and part of the Red Sox Nation family. Thanks Remy, Regular Rob, Joe Chamas, PAPELBON, Schilling, Pedroia, Kid Nation Captains and the rest of my Red Sox family. You’re the best. Sometimes I don’t think people know how much the Red Sox means to us kids. It’s like family and Fenway park is like home. It’s a place we can go and have fun and be a part of a big family where everybody belongs. When you’re cheering for the Red Sox no one cares is you’re a little kid or old. It doesn’t matter how fast you can run or how smart you are. It doesn’t matter if you’re rich or poor or one of the cool kids. We just love the Red Sox so we’re family.
Now if we can just beat the Rays every game in this home stand take back the lead in the AL. I’m glad Lester is pitching. I like him and it was awesome watching him pitch a no hitter. He got cured of cancer & I hope everybody realizes how important it is to find a care for cancer so no more people die from it.
Wild Knuckleballs, Catching & Prospects
Ouch. The 15-8 loss against the Rangers last night was really painful to watch. Tim Wakefield knows how to throw a knuckleball but just couldn’t keep it in the zone. I think Cash was a little sloppy too. He fumbled too many balls. If any scouts are out there reading this check out Worecester Tornado Catcher Alex Trezza. He can catch everything- knuckleballs, sliders and fast balls. He’s also a great team leader and led the CanAm League in home runs in 2007. The Sox really need to pick up Trezza. This loss hurt so much because we were so close to catching up to Tampa Bay in the AL Race but I think even if Tampa makes it to the playoffs that they’re gonna choke. The team is still pretty inexperienced.
PLEASE Vote for Remy & Youk
Please vote for Jerry Remy EVERY DAY during Sept. for the Ford C. Frick Award. It is given to a baseball broadcaster that has made contributions to baseball. I think Remy deserves it.

Red Sox/White Sox Aug. 29 Game
I had a bad week. My favorite counselor from the YMCA Miss Jocelyn drowned in Salem and I was sad. Her funeral was Friday and I was really sad. I loved her a lot. She taught me to swim and always made us laugh. She was a real good artist too. My Grandma wanted to cheer me up so we went to Boston and we got tickets for the game from Hig’s tickets. They were awesome seats. We were 3 rows behind the Red Sox Bullpen. Jonathan Papelbon was hanging out in the Bullpen and I got to get real close to him. I got a picture of his car in the players parking lot too. He has a cool black Mercedes. The Red Sox beat the White Sox BIG TIME
